July 2019:“US philanthropists vow to raise millions for climate activists” – The Climate Emergency Fund is launched. Serving on the board is 350.org founder Bill McKibben andMargaret Klein Salamonfounder and executive director of The Climate Mobilization (partner to Extinction Rebellion) and author of the paper “Leading the Public into Emergency Mode: A New Strategy for the Climate Movement.”

Never looked into this much and did not realize how influential this Margaret Klein Salamon was until recently reading a number of - manifesto type 'how to guilds' by her.

Klein is a Ph.D., and recently had a read through what you cited 'Leading the Public into Emergency Mode: Introducing the Climate Emergency Movement' which is a 51 page book of climate fear and mobilization tactics of how to dig in and seed the ground. Klein is aClimate Shrink(the below is from the second article in the link from theNew Yorker):

Margaret Klein Salamon, whotrained as a clinical psychologist在气候保护组织成立之前,takes the opposite view. She doesn’t see fear as paralyzing but as a necessary response that activates people to recognize danger and take action. What’s more, given the state of the atmosphere, she argues that acute fear is rational. “It’s important to feel afraid of things that will kill us—that is healthy and good,” she said. She believes that reckoning with the scope of the emergency is required, both to activate responsible behavior and to reap the mental-health benefits of “living in climate truth.” Salamon, who grew up in a family of psychoanalysts and considers therapy to be “something of a family business,”is writing “Transform Yourself with Climate Truth,”a self-help book on the subject.:-D
Salamon saidthat it’s no surprise that people can’t process the truth about the climate crisis and instead construct defense mechanisms against it.:whistle:In twenty years, what now registers as an extreme heat wave will likely be the norm. By 2045, more than three hundred thousand U.S. homes will be lost to encroaching oceans; by 2100, a trillion dollars worth of real estate will be lost in the U.S. alone. As atmospheric carbon levels rise, plants produce more sugars and fewer nutrients—by 2050, vegetables will be turning into junk food. There’s a huge overlap between things that wreak havoc on the climate and things that serve a materialist version of the good, comfortable life: meat-eating, air-conditioning, air travel. “It’s a basic part of being human that our minds frequently deal with competing interests—that’s how defense mechanisms are formed,” Salamon said.
Salamon hosts periodic phone sessions, where callers can dial in to discusstheir feelings about climate change and climate activism. All sorts of emotions have come up on these calls:guilt and shame, grief, panic, helplessness, even “destructive glee” from people who are angry that their warnings haven’t been heeded.{how dare them} Salamon stresses the importance of processing climate changeas an emotional and personal phenomenon, not just a scientific one. Everyone, she said, needs to grieve for their own futures, which aren’t going to look the way we thought. They’re going to be more parched, more crowded, more dangerous, and more austere.

Okay, that's the skinny on Klein. Here are a few 'ideas' from her, as the representative author in her climate actionmanifesto:

launched in 2014, telling the truth about the Climate Emergency — it is an acute and existential threat to us all —and advocating for a WWII-Scale Climate Mobilization to eliminate emissions in 10 years or less, and initiate a massive drawdown program.

Jiminy Crickets!

...Our strategy always centered around “inception” and “pollination” meaning that if we could “de-risk” our approach and prove its viability, then other larger groups would begin taking it on.

Oookay,

At the end of 2018,the dam finally burst and the Climate Emergency Movement has emerged, finally,as a powerful force. {climate Jedi's} This movementtells the truth about the scale of the crisis, and demands a “Green New Deal” ora WWII-scale climate mobilization— a 10 year transition to zero emissionsplus drawdown. Led by Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and the Justice Democrats in Congress, the Sunrise Movement, Zero Hour, School Strikers, and Extinction Rebellion in the streets, this movement has burst forth with tremendous force and momentum. As of the time of this writing, more than 500 cities in 4 countries have declared a “Climate Emergency,” and most of the major Democratic Presidential candidates have stated that they support the Green New Deal.

Could go on and on, it is 51 pages after all, and it is aimed, in part, at kids. An argument could be made that she is, consciously or not, in fact abusing children's minds with a climate psychological WWII warfare program (her words "WWII").

Did I mention she is a Ph.D Climate Shrink?;-D

Anyway, have a scan at her work...

STOCKHOLM - Climate activist Greta Thunberg was on Monday (July 20) awarded a Portuguese rights award and promptly pledged the million-euro prize to groups working toprotect the environmentand halt climate change.

Greta Thunberg donates million-euro rights prize to green groups

That is more money than I can begin to imagine, but all the prize money will be donated, through my foundation, to different organisations and projects who are working to help people on the front line, affected by the climate crisis and ecological crisis," the Swedish teen said in a video posted online.

She was awarded the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanityfor the way she "has been able to mobilize younger generations for the cause of climate change and her tenacious struggle to alter a status quo that persists", Jorge Sampaio, chair of the prize jury, said earlier.

The first 100,000 euros (S$159,000) of the prize money will go to the "SOS Amazonia" campaign led by Fridays For Future Brazil to tackle the coronavirus outbreak in the Amazon.

Another 100,000 euros will go to the Stop Ecocide Foundation "to support their work to make ecocide an international crime", Thunberg said on Twitter.

The million euro is the largest prize won by the 17-year-old environmental campaigner who has also won Amnesty International's top human rights prize and the Swedish Right Livelihood Award, often presented as an alternative Nobel.

She said on Monday she was "extremely honoured" to receive the annual Gulbenkian prize.

Thunberg and three other young climate activists last Thursday (July 16) launched an appeal to EU leaders to "face up to the climate emergency", in an open letter signed by 150 scientists and a host of celebrities.

Looks like a good way to funnel, (launder) money around the globe... So Greta already has her own foundation, not bad for a 17 yr old student.
