'One of the REAL issue is US' oil smuggling in Syria... Did you discuss about this REAL issue?...'

@sToRmR1dR,

That is a good question. I did not hear anyone ask it in the two articles or the video. Unfortunately, we here were not there to ask such questions. It may still be a "real" issue but positions can change very quickly in such a way that it could be a moot point if other more important questions arise.

It is always refreshing to hear the sane voice of Lavrov explain the REAL issues and facts from the Russian point of view.

维的问题o matter I think. It is just which questions should we ask?

Session 31 December 1997
Q: (Ark) I would like to know if it is at all relevant, because a lot of things happen that are irrelevant for the future?

A: It is. [break for New Year's]

Q: It is now 1998. Do you guys have any predictions or comments for the new year?

A: In Pensacola, for but one example, it is still only 1997.

问:很可爱!好的,所以这不是新年the entire globe, and you have made your point about time. However, soon, everyone will agree that it is 1998, and then it will be, in fact, 1998. So, do you have, for those waiting with baited breath, anything to say about the upcoming year. Of course, I know all the psychics and channels are busily posting all their direful predictions about photon belts, null zones and whatever... a whole new series of dates for this will come, I expect...

A: Are you not yet tiring of such drivel?

Q: Yes, I am extremely tired of such drivel, but you have given some very good predictions in the past, and some that were dead wrong. And, speaking of dead wrong predictions, let me ask: on one occasion you said that the number of people left alive after the flood of Noah was 19 million and on another occasion you said 119 million. Now which is the correct figure?

A: Either.

问:好吧,这不可能!

A: Yes it can... all is as the perceiver perceives.

Q: I think I liked you better when you were a little more linear!

A: We never were. As that is not for you. Not any more than it is for the company executive to don diapers!

Q: Yes, but... I feel like we are going around in circles and we get vague answers. Yes, we understand the necessity for such answers in some cases, but there are other things going on that we would like to deal with in a little more direct manner.

A: You get into trouble when you presuppose the nature of the answers to the questions.

There is something that went through my mind on several occasions that I think hasn't been mentioned before. It seems to me that Trump could very well be not the first and last Trump that runs for president. He could be the first in a dynasty of Trumps attempting the highest office in the US.

Trumphas five children: Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump and Barron Trump. At least two, namelyDonald Trump Jr.andEric Trump, have been very much involved in politics and their fathers business (Invanka also, but not so much on the political front).

Seems to me that both Eric and Trump Jr. have been raised to follow and would be willing to attempt to follow in their fathers footsteps. If you haven't seen it before, here as some interviews with both of them and their father:

Donald Trump Jr. also published his first book last month with the title:

Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us

I think there is a good likelihood that we will see at least one more Trump attempting the precidency in the future.

I believe Donald Trump Jr. has already publicly mused, some time ago, about running for president, to be considered when his children are older. Then, there are also articles like this:Trump Jr being groomed to run for president as family seeks a White House ‘dynasty’: report

In an interview with theTimes of London, Eric Trump said that although he has no political ambitions himself, he believes his older brother does.

When asked if there could be a Trump family dynasty, Eric replied, “Oh sure.”

In 2018,The Guardianreported thatTrump Jr. had not only become a skilled fundraiserfor his father’s reelection campaign — he also has been regularly called upon by supporters to run for president himself.

The U.S. Senate is having a field day creating havoc in Washington and stirring the pot towards an Impeachment of President Trump. On the other hand, Russian President Putin denounces the Impeachment as based on "fabricated" lies.

President Trump impeached in historic vote by sharply divided House

‎December‎ ‎18‎, ‎2019‎ ‎8‎:‎35‎ ‎PM ‎- WASHINGTON — Donald Trump became the third sitting president in U.S. history to be impeached, as the House of Representatives approved on Wednesday the two articles of impeachment against him: that he abused the power of his office by pressuring Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election on his behalf, and that he obstructed Congress in its inquiry.

众议院批准impeachmen的第一篇文章t, on abuse of power, by a vote of 230 to 197 at 8:34 p.m. after a daylong debate. Of the 233 Democrats, 228 voted in favor, along with the House’s one Independent. Two Democrats opposed the measure. No Republicans voted in favor.

Eighteen minutes later, the second article, charging obstruction of Congress, passed by a vote of 229 to 198 with three Democrats voting no, and again no Republicans in favor.

[...] The impeachment vote was the culmination of a process that began in early August when a whistleblower filed a complaint to the inspector general of the intelligence community, alleging that Trump pressured Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to open an investigation into a political rival. The report became public in mid-September.

[...] The only other two presidents to be impeached in American history are Andrew Johnson, in 1868, and Bill Clinton, in 1998. Both survived their Senate trials and served out their terms. The House began impeachment proceedings against Richard Nixon in 1973, but Nixon resigned before he was impeached.

A comedian I follow on FB wrote: "History reveals the rest of the country rallies around the impeached president when it is strictly a political process. Therefore, Trump will now win in a landslide. The rest of the US does not agree there are any atrocities committed by this administration, only the political far left who want power and will stop at nothing to steal it. Not that the Democrats had a chance with a bumbling 80 year old fool, a fake Native American, and a couple of mayors from some small college towns."

The whole impeachment circus could be another case of shooting oneself in the foot...

This was fun to watch

During Trump's Christmas rally in Michigan, The president brutally mocked Bill Clinton and "Crooked" Hillary, asking the crowd if they think Bill calls her "Crooked Hillary" or just "Crooked?"

Later during the rally a liberal protestor showed up and started screaming and flicking off the President. Trump, never to let something like this go, had a response which made the crowd go wild.

It is not usual that Breibart is checked on a regular bases, and yet noticed this the other day - Ted Cruz commenting on a 1.4 Trillion dollar bill signed in by President Trump. The bill is like an Omnibus bill in our country - a spending law stacked with bills within, and the main thing approves government funding through 2020, while last year it was recalled that this was not immediately pushed through - the results were there to see. So I'm guess that this year (despite what was in the bill) was was pushed through due to the whole impeachment sham moving to the Senate - it's a way of appealing to the Senate (specific senators) in this Congress drafted bill (keeping the peace), yet with what specifically (sounds like not many people have read it) is in the bill it is not exactly in character with Trump's platform.

As for Cruz, I've a sense of what he represents and of what he has done and said in the past, and not all good, yet giving him his dues here.

So here Ted Cruze is not happy as the article cites:
...“Deals cut in the dead of night,” Cruz asserted in a Twitter video message this week that summarized some of the provisions in the spending package:

The senator said the spending dealbenefits the “lobbyists who are bankrupting this country,” andtoldCBS 11it represents “lobbyists’ Christmas present.”

“While you were with your family, shopping for Christmas, the lobbyists were spending and spending,” Cruz said in his video message.

Nobody’s read it,” Cruz said as he puffed on a cigar. “There isn’t a person alive who has read this piece of garbage.”

Cruz called out some of the items in the bill that were included没有辩论和一个独立的投票. He noted, for example, the spending deal “extends the Export-Import Bank for seven years.”

The bank, which provides loans to promote the foreign purchases of U.S. goods, is “one of the greatest corporate boondoggles – corporate welfare,” the senator asserted.

The massive spending bill also raises the tobacco purchasing age to 21.

Cruz ridiculed this provision, citing that soldiers can be drafted at age 18, but “God help you if you want to have a smoke.”

The senator pointed out the spending bill also “funds government research on gun control.”

“Can’t you wait for the report from the Centers for Disease Control … bogus studies that are going to be used to take away your constitutional rights,” Cruz stated.

The senator added that the spending bill:
– continues tax breaks for “so-called” renewable energy
– fails to stop sanctuary cities
– fails to defund Planned Parenthood and fails to end Obamacare
While a pro-abortion rights amendmentproposedby New Hampshire Democrat Jeanne Shaheen – one that would have undermined Trump’s pro-life policies overseas – was notincludedin the final spending package, America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, remains funded by taxpayers.

Pro-life organization Live Actionobservedthat, since the spending deal fails to end Obamacare, its sex education program, known as PREP, will still receive $75 million, and $3 million of the PREP funding will go to Planned Parenthood.

Live Action added:
Additionally, Planned Parenthood will continue to receive millions more through [Medicaid] reimbursements and discretionary funds. In their 2017 Annual Report, Planned Parenthood indicatedthat34%of their revenue came from “Government Health Services Reimbursements & Grants.”
Congressional spending packages for FY2020 don’t include any provisions to further curb the millions of taxpayer dollars going to America’s abortion giant.
“This pile of trash belongs in an ashtray,” Cruz said in his video message.

On Thursday, the senatorreleaseda statement after voting against the bill.

“With a $23 trillion national debt, this 2,313-page spending package that Congressional leaders unveiled just days ago represents everything Americans hate about Washington,” Cruz said, adding:
Though there are several good provisions included in the final bills that I was proud to fight for, including a well-deserved pay raise for our men and women in uniform and additional support for our Armed Forces and veterans, this $1.4 trillion spending monstrosity plunges our nation even further into debt – haphazardly spending taxpayer dollarson the priorities of lobbyists and Democrats at the expense of the priorities of the American people, from funding Planned Parenthood, sanctuary cities, and Obamacare, to raising the tobacco purchasing age to 21.
“This ridiculous, rushed, end-of-year spending process, year after year, is an example of government of the lobbyists, by the lobbyists, and for the lobbyists,” he said.

I'm guessing many of the Trump base would not like this bill with some of its inclusions, yet it was pretty hush hush this year.

If anyone who resides in the U.S. and follows has a better sense of this, would be interested, cause on one level it looks like kowtowing to business as usual with the stroke of a pen - and here Cruz may have a point. It's also recognized that it is the bill that keeps government wheels turning, yet probably not all 2,313 pages are required.

Making current International headlines, which has been on-going for sometime, is Washington's stepping back from the Nuclear Treaty and North Korea's increased "Nuclear militarism" and negotiations between the Super Powers, Russia, China and the U.S., including Iran, to collaborate on a New Peace and Arms Treaty -a new START strategic arms reduction treaty.A deadline has been set for the end-of-the-year. Every Diplomatic effort at the negotiating tables, by the various Countries, have been involved to establish terms and agreements reciprocal to all those involved. For World Peace - this new START treaty - is extremely important!

认识了3个金和美国总统唐纳德·特朗普e times since June 2018,but there has been no substantive progress in dialogue while the North demanded crushing international sanctions be lifted first.

On Saturday, the state media said the United States would “pay dearly” for taking issue with the North’s human rights record and said Washington’s “malicious words” would only aggravate tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

North Korea has also repeatedly called for the United States to drop its “hostile policy” and warned about its “Christmas gift” as the end-year deadline it set for Washington to change its position looms.

Some experts say the reclusive state may be preparing for an intercontinental ballistic missile test that could put it back on a path of confrontation with the United States.

The U.S. envoy for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, has visited South Korea and China in the past week, issuing a public and direct call to North Korea to return to the negotiating table, but there has been no response.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held a meeting of top military officials to discuss boosting the country’s military capability, state news agency reported on Sundayamid heightened concern the North may be about to return to confrontation with Washington.

Kim presided over an enlarged meeting of the ruling Workers’ Party’s Central Military Commission, KCNA news agency said, to discuss steps “to bolster up the overall armed forces of the country ... militarily and politically.”

“Also discussed were important issues for decisive improvement of the overall national defense and core matters for the sustained and accelerated development of military capability for self-defense,”KCNA said.

North Korea has set a year-end deadline for the United Statesto change what it says is a policy of hostility amid a stalemate in efforts to make progress on their pledge to end the North’s nuclear program and establish lasting peace.

I thought this was a surprisingly clear headed view of what is happening around 'impeachment'

Some snippets:

Only in a country that produces so much fake news at the official level, could there be afake impeachment proceduremade purely for media consumption, with no real or tangible possible victory in sight.

Nancy Pelosi is evidently extraordinarily cynical. Her politics appears to be‘they deserve whatever they believe’. And her aim appears to be the one who makes them believe things so that they deserve what she gives them.

Imagine being a fly on the wall of the meeting with Pelosi where it was decided to go forward with impeachment in the House of Representatives, despite not having either sufficient traction in the Senate or any way to control the process that the Senate uses.

It probably went like this: ‘We’ll say we impeached him, because we did, and we’ll say he was impeached. We’ll declare victory, and go home. This will make him unelectable because of the stigma of impeachment.
